Friendship Tattoos are a great way to show the word how you and your friend feel about each other. But there are some things you need to do first. Here are three very important things you need to do before getting a friendship tattoo.

First keep this in mind. As much as you may not think about it now, your friendship may change over the years-it may not even last. That may seem harsh but that's the truth. The only thing that is certain to last is your tattoo. Once you get inked you will have to live with that tattoo design for the rest of your life.

For that reason you should consider carefully the design you choose for your friendship tattoo. You may not want to have your friend's name, face, birth date, astrological sign or anything like that used as a tattoo. It may seem like a great idea now, but if that friendship ends down the road you may not want to be wearing, for the rest of your days, a permanent reminder of that person.

When the relationship ended Johnny Depp no longer wanted to wear the tattoo as a reminder of those days. Pretty much stuck with the tattoo, he went to great lengths to have it changed. It doesn't look very good, but now it reads "Wino Forever." Wonder what happens if he ever stops drinking!

Second, consider tattoo designs that will work well on their own but still can serve as a symbol of your friendship. Matching designs of something that is important to each of make good friendship tattoos.

Star tattoos are extremely popular today and contain fascinating meanings. There's a lot that can be done with star tattoos. They can have different points, each with a different meaning. They can come in all different colors and sizes. Star tattoos in a shooting design are very popular among friends.

Third is to consider a phrase as a friendship tattoo. Many friends are choosing a phrase where each person only wears half of the phrase. The thought is that together they complete each other.
