Easy and Safe Tattoo Removal
Articles By Rachel Nielsen
Life is full of regrets and changes. The giant parrot on your shoulder was pretty cool in your Jimmy Buffett stage but not so much in your later in life jazz stage. Cindy is long in the past and you are now about to marry Alison. So what do you do? There are several options for tattoo removal including dermabrasion, laser surgery and home remedies.
Laser removal is the most common method of tattoo removal. The laser targets the ink with pulses of highly concentrated light that break the ink into tiny fragments, which are then cleared away the your own immune system. However, this method can be time consuming, requiring many sessions to fully remove the tattoo. And, because of this, it can also be very expensive. Most people report it is painful and can also cause scarring.
Intense Pulsed Light Therapy, or IPL, is similar to laser removal except, instead of laser light, it uses high intensity light. A gel is applied to the skin and then a wand is used to emit pulses of light onto the skin area being treated. It is reported to be less painful, more effective and takes less time than laser treatment. However, it is also much more expensive.
Less desirable methods also include dermabrasion, which literally sands or scrubs away the layers of skin to remove the tattoos, or excision which cuts away the tattoo. Both of these methods are extremely painful and leaves scars which can be just as unsightly as the tattoo itself was.
For easy and safe tattoo removal, the best option is to remove your tattoos with tattoo removing creams which are on the market now. These creams remove tattoos easily, painlessly and effectively They are not a quick fix by any means. It takes diligent applications and many months to see results. On the other hand, it is easy to put cream or creams on every day and it is painless. The cost varies although usually not more than $100 per month. How quickly the product works and the results you achieve depend on several variables: the type and amount of ink used, the depth to which it was injected, the age of the tattoo, the colors of the ink and your body chemistry. However, the time involved is much better than the alternatives stated above.
Some of the most effective and widely used creams are Wrecking Balm and Tat B Gone although there are others as well. Wrecking Balm is more of a system which is a combination of an FDA approved medical dermal device, chemical peels and solvent serums that penetrate into the skin to help break up the cellular matrix, where injected ink pigments are embedded. Tat B Gone is series of creams which are applied on top of the other to activate the patent-pending formula which penetrates the skin and attacks the inks in the dermas.
