If you are thinking about a tattoo you should be aware of the most painful places to get a tattoo. Here are some common areas people get ink which can also be painful.1. Feet. Feet tattoos can be painful because you are going so close to the bone with no "padding" or fat. Feet tats are a unique place to get inked up. One of the reasons it is so rare is because of the pain factor. Now some people can tolerate the pain more than others, and a foot tattoo may not be that bad pain wise. But generally speaking, if you looking for the least painful areas for ink, then avoid the feet!
2. Ribs. A popular spot now days to get inked up is the rib area. For some heavily tatted up individuals, they simply start to run out of room so the ribs is one of the last open and spacious areas for work to be done. Many times they are in for a big surprise as the pain level is unlike other wide open spaces on the body. The ribs generally have little fat surrounding it, so pain levels are higher than normal, making this one of the most painful places to get a tattoo.
3. Back of Ear. Another popular spot for relatively indiscreet ink, is the back of the ear. Not much can fit there, so you would think for a small design and small space it wouldn't be that bad. Well, take a feel of the back of ear area and you'll see it's pretty hard with little cushion.
